Dr. Cecile Mercado is originally from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico where she developed her love for animals at a young age. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 2016 after finishing a bachelor in Animal Ecology at Iowa State University in 2012. She also added a small animal emergency and exotics internship right immediately vet school. While she has worked primarily with dogs and cats, she also enjoyed working with wildlife in Thailand and Ecuador during her summers. At home she has a 7-year-old Maine Coon mix cat named Roey and a newly adopted mini Labradoodle puppy named Robin. In her downtime off she enjoys traveling, hiking, going to the beach, going to see movies, and spending time with friends.
Dr. Cecile has most recently worked in general practice and also offers house call services. She has a special interest in internal medicine and her surgery expertise includes spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentistry.
